Oil Rig Stronghold Location
New Island Southeast of Marsh Island
The Oil Rig Stronghold is located on a new island southeast of the Marsh Island. Just like Wildlife Sanctuaries, it doesn't have a Fast Travel Point.

Be At Least Level 50
You need to be at least Level 50 to enter this area as the entire Oil Rig Stronghold will try to blast you off every time you go in with their Turrets, Laser Cannons, hostile Humans and their Pals!
The enemy Pals and humans fighting you here will be at most Level 55! It is best to be prepared and gear up before heading inside the stronghold.
How to Level Up Fast
Bring the Best Armor and A Legendary Rocket Launcher
The recommended armor to equip when charging through the Oil Rig Stronghold is either the Legendary Heat Resistant Pal Metal Armor or the Legendary Cold Resistant Pal Metal Armor, both have the same stats and are the best armor so far in Palworld.
Along with the armor, bringing a Legendary Rocket Launcher is the next best thing as it deals massive damage and takes care of enemies in groups with just a blast.

Mount a Fast Flying Pal
Since there will be Turrets and Laser Cannons attacking you from afar when going to the stronghold, it is optimal to bring a fast-flying Pal that can avoid the attacks quickly.
Jetragon is the fastest mount Pal in both air and land, so it is recommended that you bring this Pal when entering the Oil Rig Stronghold. Have the laser beam blast itself, and when it targets you, immediately fly higher to avoid the laser.

You Can Also Ride A Swimming Mount Pal to Get Through
An alternative way to avoid artillery damage is to ride a Swimming Mount Pal and travel by sea to the stronghold.
You can make use of a swimming mount such as Azurobe or Jormuntide to reach the Oil Rig without alerting the Laser Cannon.

Destroy the Artilleries
Once you land at the Oil Rig Stronghold, the first thing to do is to destroy the artilleries that fired at you on the way. You can safely disengage them by touching the console where they are mounted.
Once disengaged, it will not activate itself back on and you can freely go in and out of the Stronghold without artilleries firing at you.
Avoid Mounts While Destroying the Gatling Gun
Lots of Gatling Guns will be firing at you when you land, do not approach it when riding on a mount Pal as you will receive a lot of damage.
The safest approach is to get off the mount and head towards the Gatling Gun to destroy it. You need to outrun the guns' range in order to not take heavy damage.
Kill the Enemies From Afar
Both Pals and Humans will try to fight you as early as they see you, but facing them head-on is a bad idea as the hostile human enemies possess end-game guns, and their Pals are super strong.
The recommended approach is to fight them using your Legendary Rocket Launcher from afar. Alternatively, you can kill them while riding a Flying mount Pal and battle them from above using your Pal's skills.
Search For Large Treasure Chests
There are a bunch of large treasure chests filled with valuable items scattered around the Oil Rig. They will always spawn at a random location, so look out for them while clearing out the Oil Rig.
Use a Homeward Thundercloud When You Need to Leave
If you need to leave the Oil Rig, either because you're about to die or you've got all of the possible rewards, use a Homeward Thundercloud to teleport to the closest base. This way you don't have to worry about any enemies or active artillery cannons on the way out.
Alternatively, you could use Dogen's Partner Skill since it will also teleport you to the nearest base when activated.
